Born in Beaune, Samuel ALEXANDRE grew up in the great wines of Burgundy
A university degree led him, after a Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Dijon, to prepare a Viticulture-Oenology BTS in rotation at the CFPPA in Beaune. He then acquainted himself for two years with the vitivinicultural know-how of his region of origin in immersion in a famous domain of the coast of Beaune. At the end of this apprenticeship, he then obtained a National Diploma of Œnologue at the Institute of Vine and Wine in Dijon and immediately went abroad to put into practice his knowledge. It will be first Oregon, then the State of New York in the United States as assistant-winemaker. Then Australia, and finally a return to the Finger Lakes on the East Coast of the US where he will occupy a winemaker position for a full season.
These three years of vinification of his two favorite grape varieties lead Samuel Alexandre to return to Burgundy and to integrate an analytical laboratory where he will apply his expertise in more than 30 fields as a consulting oenologist for three years . In April 2005, he created his own consulting and analysis company, innovating in the realization of a mobile oenological laboratory. He filed a patent with the INPI and based on the principle that a doctor always travels with his diagnostic tools, he has carried out all his activity at home for five years, in close contact with a growing clientele since Terroirs & Tips works today with two equipped vehicles and two oenologists in collaboration with nearly eighty Burgundian domains.
